Content Categories
Content categories are used to break your pages up into different sections. To get to the admin menu for content categories, you must go to http://www.yoursite.com/admin/manage/article_types.
When creating a new piece of content, you will have a select box with the choices that are loaded into this section. There are 9 content categories by default. These can be changed and edited to fit your requirements.
Each Content Type incuudes:
- Content Type Name - Display name for your content type. Can be used with breadcrumbs
- Web URL - relative path from the root of your domain that you would like the content articles with this type to use. Eg. Web URL help would generate links like /help/page1
- Allow Comments - This tag determines whether others will be able to post comments on your articles that are posted in this category type
- Protected - This tag determines whether this section is protected from non-members. This number is based on the membertype the user has. If your full membership has an id of 3, then you can set protected to 3 and they will be the only users able to see that page, aside from administrators.
- Moderate Comments - This tag determines whether users will be able to leave comments on each article in this category
- Order - This determines the order that the categories will be displayed on the website. It allows you to place the more important categories first.
- Description - This is a description of the category.
